These three … Faith, Hope and Love

A 5-session ecumenical COURSE for discussion groups – IDEAL FOR LENT or any time of year

Comprising course booklet, course audio and transcript

“The Lent course These three … Faith, Hope and Love was well chosen. It was spiritually profound while illuminating the every day experience of all of us who attended the class.” Professor Basil Mitchell, former Nolloth Professor of Philosophy of Religion, University of Oxford

These three… Faith, Hope and Love is based on the three great qualities celebrated in 1 Corinthians 13. This famous passage begins and ends in majestic prose. But the middle paragraph is practical and demanding. St Paul’s thirteen verses take us to the heart of what it means to be a Christian.

5 sessions:
1. Believing and Trusting
2. The Peace of God
3. Faith into Love
4. The Greatest of these
5. All shall be well

The course booklet, written by Canon John Young, includes questions aimed at provoking wide-ranging discussion. Each group needs a copy of the course audio, plus a course booklet for each member. In addition many groups find the transcript, which cross-references to the tracks on the recorded material, invaluable.

The participants on the course audio are Bishop Tom Wright, Anne Atkins and The Abbot of Worth. Methodist minister Professor Frances Young provides the thoughtful Closing Reflection at the end of each session.
