Archbishop's School of Life after Death

Written by the Revd Canon David Winter

In 2001 David's first wife, Christine, died. So this book is written out of personal experience as well as deep study and reflection. He starts by asking whether death is an end or a beginning and whether the notion of eternal life is simply wishful thinking. He considers the evidence and ends by declaring his conviction that heaven is 'a place of fulfilment, of growth, discovery and endless activity where we shall be more alive than we have ever been, more loving and more loved'.

4 Sections:

1. What's the evidence?
2. What kind of 'body'?
3. What is heaven like?
4. Who goes to heaven?

The booklet on Life after Death is particularly useful for churches to give to bereaved families. And it could form the basis for a short course for Advent.
