"This is the best course this year for Lent groups to use" (Church Times review, 2006).
This popular 5-part course addresses deep questions about God and the meaning of life. The subject matter lends itself to adaptation for a short Advent course or for groups wanting to gather for just 2 or 3 meetings at any time of year.
5 sessions:
Where is God ...?
1. when we seek happiness?
2. when we face suffering?
3. when we make decisions?
4. when we contemplate death?
5. when we try to make sense of life?
The course booklet, written by Canon John Young, includes questions aimed at provoking wide-ranging discussion. Each group needs 1 CD or audiotape, plus a course booklet for each member. In addition many groups find the transcript booklet invaluable.
The participants on the CD/audiotape are Archbishop Rowan Williams, Patricia Routledge and Joel Edwards. Dr David Hope introduces the course and Dr Pauline Webb provides the Closing Reflections.
