Vincent Nichols
was Archbishop of Birmingham from 2000, before becoming Archbishop of
Westminster and President of the Bishops’ Conference of the Roman Catholic
Church in England and Wales in 2009. Born in Crosby, Liverpool he studied for
the priesthood in Rome, gaining licences in philosophy and theology. He has
specialised in pastoral training and education.
